VA Tech - DO NOT POST COMMENTS
As I mentioned in class, mixed in among the horror of Monday's events, there were some moments of great heroism. I was struck by the courage of Engineering Professor Liviu Librescu. Click on his name to see a 2-minute video about this professor.
I know in class I said that folks could write comments, if you choose, about the events of Monday. As I reflect more about those events, I think this is simply too public of a forum for us to share our personal thoughts about these events. I still encourage you to write about what happened so that you can begin to think through your feelings, but please keep your writing to yourself.
DO NOT post your comments here on the web (in fact, I have turned off the comments feature for this post).
We will talk in class about what happened, and if there is time, we will discuss the homework reading about life in the 1920s and women's suffrage.
See you tomorrow.
